Any Snook on the beach

Heading to Florida on Nov 27th for the winter. Usually fly fish the beaches on the Gulf side of Anna Marie Island south to Sarasota. Has anyone had any action for Snook on those beaches lately, or have they started to migrate into the rivers for the winter? Thanks in advance.

The red tide is still pretty thick on the gulf beaches and snook season is closed on account of it. You will have much better luck fishing the back bays where the salinity is lower (and the red tide can’t thrive).

I am just north of there and it has been a mess since September.
