Experienced the limit

Forecast was doable, so I went.   Forecast stated 1-2 ft seas, 10 - 15 wind, rain showers.   In reality, 2-3 ft seas, 20 plus wind, and rain showers.   The mile long trip was "ok" and found some protection for a bit on the other side of the bridge.   But the swells and chop ) increased to "I don't like this anymore" conditions.   It was 0100 and there was no one else around.   I caught a fish and battled with him and conditions for a  landing, but trying to manage the fish while battling the swells was an eye opener.    Then, (in my best Forest Gump voice), Just like that it layed down (wind shift blessing).   Went on to catch three more, limited out on slot Striper and left.

I now know my absolute limit and in hindsight it was kind of exciting.   Won't do it again though.    Waves over bow and sides, driving rain, howling wind....

Can't wait for tonight!
