Anyone know this rod?

I may re-wrap this old rod.  When it was given to me it had an old Punch reel on it.  It is marked "Ace  List Price $24.00" .

I have a blank that I used for Bluefish, that appears very similar. I believe it is an old fiberglass Conolon.  I would guess 60's vintage. long before Graphite and other similar materials were available.

Could be a old Lamiglas or browning silaflex any number on it , that could help.

They were that dark brown in those days 1960's

I looked for additional numbers but did not find any.  But the rod has an old dried out red rubber butt cap that I pulled off.  Inside the butt cap had molded letters "Gliebe NYC".  A google search on this brought me too a post here on the collector's forum.  On April 1, 2011 Ed White asked about a Gliebe surf rod. His rod was in good condition and was made with owen corning fiberglass.   His pictures show a rod handle that is identical to what I have.  That post shows a commercial grade finished rod with Gliebe stickers etc.  as opposed to the crude hand lettering shown in my original post.  May be I will find more identification when I get the handle off.
