hahahaha.  on footage #1 - I did that with my SMG can.  baffle strike.

a little embarrassing at the range - had to call a cease fire to collect all the scattered parts.

I did worse. Surefire dedicated 6.8SPC with QD that I did not ratchet tight apparently. First round quiet, second a bit noisier, third full volume. Oops, can is gone.

It took two hours of  searching during cease-fires to finally find it. Went out about 20 yards and embedded itself in the mud of the stream that ran through the range. My son found it just before we had to quit for the day at sundown.

Miraculously no baffle strike and it works perfectly on the next outing.

Lesson learned, count the ratchet clicks.

yep.  i was shooting in an indoor range when it happened and it sounded like broken glass clanking all over the place.

suppressor owners are required to locate all the parts and restore or dispose of them - individual suppressor parts like baffles and pieces of them are considered suppressors under federal law.
