Metals - hook replacement

4 posts in this topic

A friend of mine likes to fish for bass and blues and asked me to come up with something he has never seen to add to the back of a Diamond Jig.  He said go crazy!!!

Well, here it is, we can’t wait to try these out!  It just glows green and pink, we think it is going to be a winner.

I am tying some for metals but also some plugs as well.

The material source came limited and I am trying to get more but if anyone is interested, these are $4.00 each and just $3.50 if you order 5 or more.

While supplies last!  O/E is wash hooks in 2/0 - 7/0.

So an update to this, bottom line, I think we have something here.  While this is retrieved, the fibers become slim but give it a twitch and they flair out and catch the light to attract anything nearby.

I have shortened the tail a little and seen an improvement in hook ups..

The other day, I am fishing Raritan Bay and we were doing well but the bite died for a bit.

I remember I had a 2 oz t-hex with the hook tied with this.  I flip the lure out, let it drop, start reeling, give it a few slight twitches and bam, fish on!  That fish hit hard!  Now everyone is asking for one.

This is the only place to get one.  I can tie this onto regular straight shank hooks or if you have the bent hooks of a diamond jig and want that style, I can do it.
