That's been my easter for the last 17 years. My wife's family is Ukrainian and it's been kielbasa and peirogis (plus the regular stuff like ham) the whole time. 

 

They aren't doing anything this year so we are hosting. I just finished dry rubbing the turkey.

Got the shoulder rubbed down and in the smoker :th:

Didnt have time for no fancy stuff, salt pepper and brown sugar, going to cook it a little higher than normal too, I guess we'll see in the morning lol

how lucky am i

to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard


Shooting a coon in a 60ft tree out of a boat in the dark holding a flashlight can be tricky. ..

I toss them in a covered sauteed pan with butter and a little water. They steam until the water is gone. Then I ditch the lid and let the crisp up a bit in the butter.
