Jumbos for $120 , 8” and up is some seriously large crustaceans 

 

 

 

Not sure that it’s everywhere but when we refer to a #1 is not necessarily the size, but a mature crab not in a molting stage ‘packed with meat’. They are still sorted by size. May be different other regions though

Mexican sushi is such a treat.  Definitely one of my favorite items I can pluck from the sea.  I found some premade sticky rice which will find a place in my tackle bag along with some wasabi and soy.  Next one of these things that dies isn't making it to the cooler.

Sea scallops with a lemon/butter/wine sauce, Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce and a cold faro salad with tomatoes and herbs.  It was outstanding!
