Was at training in San Fran while back and there was an Italian festival in North Beach (their “Little Italy”), so me and a coworker head over.
Not a sausage cart to be found.

I remember growing up in the 1960’s you could get a dozen large steamed crabs for five bucks. Those days are long gone lol. But hey they are favorite thing every eat so it’s worth it to me. Most likely won’t get them again till September and they are always cheaper in the fall.

I have tried it on regular sausage and peppers (the mustard) and given my mood I would try it again.  For me a good sausage and pepper sandwich is about the sweetness of the veggies mixed with the spice of the sausage, and more often than not I'm doing this with the parsley and cheese, ring, sausage.

No potatoes on that sammy?

Not for me on a regular sausage sammich.  Sauteed peppers and onions in olive oil, good bread. Done.

 

On an Italian hot dog, yes.
