no pics, it was a couple weeks ago, but i tried that crock pot missippi roast jase posted. it was a little greasy as a pot roast and sauce over some coconut milk basmati, but it excelled on a kaiser with a bunch of the pot pepperoncini's on top. best sanguich of the pandemic maybe.

 

i did the nyt version, without the packets of ****. turns out any basic kitchen should have all the stuff in it already.

That was my take as well. You couldn't have too many pepperorchinis in it.

 

I still want to try it with smoked chuck instead of venison.

i bet smoked would be good, but honestly, that thing had so much flavor and was so easy, who needs the extra work :why:

soo good, there is also a great pressure cooker version if you have one, turns to butter in an hr
