As Joe reported, he didn't survive. This will change everything.

Are you of the government cull train of thought?

No chance.

Change everything as in enforced no swimming/no surfing. That's about it.

And yes, I'm aware of the size and remoteness.

It's a horrible tragedy. I feel for the loved ones.

It's pretty creepy that this is the moment so many been looking forward to.

The Cape Cod tourist industry will demand action.

So here's where we stand. About 30,000 seals. Maybe a couple hundred GWs. Both federally protected.  Seals are cute and cuddly. Sharks look and are mean. They eat tourists, seals don't.

In the end it will be a lot easier to eliminate a couple hundred GWs. Trying to eliminate 30,000 seals would bring world-wide outcry.  No one will care about the GWs after the media and state reps put their spin on it.

I think it's time to TELL THE FEDS we need to do something .

We need to tell our SERVANTS to get rid of the grey seals.

No if, and ,or buts!

Anyone can sit on there plump ass and read a law ,but that is not enough.

Up until the sixty's people where doers not talkers. People made things happen.

Since the expansion of seals we have lost small bay fish and anything a seal can feed on.

I won't get into the offshore fish loss.

I have seen a beached great with stranded less than fifty feet from two of our grand daughters on the beach. South way (Chatham).Pulled off the sand by the harbormaster.

If the public feels we need a few seals then I suggest they move them to Washington

as there seems to be a lot of sharks down there.

Yes I'm pissed.

I'm with OG ! :th:

I think we're all with OG. But do you seriously believe anyone will sanction a seal hunt that will remove 30,000 seals in 2018?  Before you keep saying the seals have to go, just think it through. Who's going to do the shooting. Any schnook with a deer rifle? What do you do with the seal carcasses? The media circus alone will be insane.
