SW = Striper Wind.

Back in the day I'd drop everything and call in sick for a good South/southwest blow.

Pushes bait and warm water into SoCo.

Kicks up a decent clean whitewater.

Water stays clean but mats of floating eel grass often appears. You have to fish around it but the fish don't mind.

A sustained SW in late April early May can absolutely pile up newly arrived schoolies against a certain large man-made structure.
