There's *some albacore around. Not many but some. Yet there's an absolute crapton of bait. Fish were locked in on tiny chovies yesterday and I couldn't buy a strike to save my life. Dont be like me and forget your casting egg.

Yeah, maybe I could have blurred the specific location. It being a fish trap and not from rod and reel I didn’t think it would be a prob. Hundreds of guys were out at west wall this am with their own fish traps trying to catch one. You guys are the reason RI forum has 3 contributing members.

Hey man, dog tooth snappers are a big draw.

Damn, now there won't be a place to park.

Oh wait, too late!

I'm sure it has nothing to do with all the pics of bones or posts about slow pic today,  not good like yesterday...

Because nobody knows about that spot...

In all seriousness, at this stage of the game, anyone who can find their way to SOL looking for funny fish reports already know about that largest and most famous funny fish destination in all New England.

The number of pics of bones Ive seen, all on those most recognizable slabs of granite, even in forums for other regions, are all automatic spot burns for the dingie's secret dog tooth snapper spot.

It don't matter. That spot is where we will all go first. Just needed to hear they are being caught.

I'd be heading down tonight if I didn't have an appointment tomorrow.

Looks like surf will build this week, maybe I can get away tuesday but after that my guess is funny fish will be scarce with big surf and dirty water.

Once it settles bones will probably be gone. All albies after that.

Who knows what the surf will do to the dog tooth snappa bite.:)

The ponds are loaded with bait peanuts , silversides and either mullet or juvenile bunker. Anyone with a Yak would have a ball. The beaches I went to were dead
