I don’t get why if all the reels are machined from aluminum.. so all the parts can be premade in larger batches from raw blocks.  Internal parts are premade and stocked up.  All it takes is cleaning exteriors, anodizing, sealing the metals, then final assembly and QC.

 

I don’t get why there’s months or years of waiting for something that can be done in 1-4 weeks. Even if machining and anodizing is outsourced. Especially basic silver or black models. 

Supply chain issues or labor issues. However, usually if that’s not an issue, the other issue can be that as a smaller company with low quantity orders, you may get put on the back burner in favor of a more important company. I work in manufacturing and we put low quantity/low margin orders/companies on the back burner all the time if it’s busy. Sucks but it happens. Got to take care of the companies that are more vital to your company’s growth and future first

Not sure on which part, sent another email inquiry. But not hopeful in getting any response.

If ya order some odd ball color I’d expect to wait .. No anodizer is gonna mix up a batch of orange for one pick up arm or knob or whatever.. so gotta have enough pieces to meet the minimum… so I’m guessing that’s a part of the wait .. just order a tuxedo and call It done , they pretty sexy ..

Im own a service company and the one thing people appreciate is letting them know how long out you are . If they say 6 months and it takes 6 month give or take a week or two thats a good business practice if you say 6 months and it takes a year that is a bad business practice. Also I don't think they should take the full amount to start a standard order. A 10% non refundable deposit is fair unless its a custom job then full price is in order. I guess.

very strange seeing that. looks like a gen 1 but its a gen 3, very nice
