The Jersey (A Taylor Ham Thing)

Rate this topic

On the way home from VA, stopped at the I 84 Diner just east of the Hudson and they had a special "The Jersey".

It was an 8 ounce burger with fried onions, 2 slices of Taylor ham and provolone cheese melted over everything on a roll that held it all.

It was better than a Bacon Cheeseburger.

Is this a staple down that way?

In north Jersey it's called Taylor ham and in Central and south Jersey it is called pork roll, but it's all the same . There are a few different companies that make it so the taste may vary slightly.

A staple breakfast sandwich is a porkroll, egg and cheese on a roll. Probably the best breakfast you will ever have for $4.95
