Haven't been out myself but starting to hear positive reports regarding red tide.  Not ready to drink the kool aid yet.  This bloom is like Michael Myers, Jason, Chucky, and Godzilla rolled into one.

The new governor Ron DeSantis asked for the immediate resignation of the entire board of the south Florida water management district today. Along with commiting"billions" to help clean up issues.

It's a good start to his governorship. If he keeps this up we might have to start calling him Skink

This is all going to be great if it all comes together. This morning there is talk that the red tide will be treated as a national disaster and FEMA will be brought in. Also, there is talk about stoping all releases from Lake O.

Keep our fingers crossed. This would be a big plus for the area.

I hope DeSantis can pull this off without appointing more people that do not have the same mindset.  And if he does, Skink would be a great moniker for him.

I'm hopeful that there will be a change. The talk is positive; hopefully the actions will back it up. And fingers crossed he will be able to wrangle the legislature into actually working towards a real solution.
