Hey everyone,

I’m going to be out on the South Fork (East Hampton) and Montauk a bunch over the next couple months. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Take your 10 wt rod with you. Do the walk from Ditch plains to the Light and back and fish  as you go.

If you have a wet suit take it with you. Much safer and easier then chest waders. Korkers are mandatory.

You can catch fish in the day but night is far better.

NE winds are great both sides and though very hard work to impossible the fishing can be great and fish  very close to the edge of the beach.

Flies usual patterns work.
