wusokyi7
I like to go fishing at the canal next Monday (August 27th, 2018) at dawn. Where can I park at such early hours? It looks like Scusset Park only opens at 8am. Thank you in advance for your help.

Dave588
If there's anyone in guard shack, tell them your going to fishing pier. I park there and bike in both directions.

BrianBM
I'll be interested what effect the building surf has on fishing in the CCC, given offshore weather, and the approach (if it happens) of Florence.

More than likely it will flood the parking lots...……….

wusokyi7
When I went there exactly 2 weeks ago just before the dawn I saw plenty of parking spaces. However there were no fish and I left early.
FishermanTim
There was a story (take it for what it's worth) from a recent years that people that parked before dawn and stayed until after the campground opened were treated to a parking citation because they hadn't paid to be there, even though they were there BEFORE it opened. I don't know how valid that story is, but I do know they were charging people up until 7:00 pm to enter even if it was to fish. I used to head down so that I would arrive after 7. I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy!

That legit has happened at Scusset. But it was an occasion that the local director had a hair across their arse and decided to flex their wiener.
