I have an edition of Walton's Complete Angler dates 1876, anyone have any idea if it has any real value? I don’t know how to grease the condition of books. The pages are brown and the cover shows wear and age.

My search seems to indicate that it is worth about $100.  Here is the link to get you to the book you have.  Scroll down a bit.  Hope this helps.

You never know. My Dad bought a box of books at a yard sale for $1.00. In it was a Nancy Drew book he put on ebay. It sold for $12,000. Yes twelve thousand dollars. Some dude in Hollywood with money to burn needed THAT book, I have no idea why. Go fishing with it, you never know who needs it and what they'll pay. Dad had a copy of the auction framed...

There are lots of possible reasons why and I suspect it had nothing to do with Hollywood.  Book collecting, like a lot of other collecting hobbies, can get pretty complicated, especially when it comes to something like Nancy Drew with a lot of stories published many times over a long period of time:

VeryRay, it is not for sale at the moment. This was a curiosity post.

Where’d you pick that up, Tom?

It was a gift from my wife's late uncle who received it from an elderly neighbor as payment for helping her with a felled tree after a storm. He had it for over 30 years sitting on a bookshelf.
