Like the title says, I watched my friend reeled in one of this bad boys yesterday, can’t wait to catch one myself. Have a great weekend boys/gals!

I was lucky enough to got more that few of those at Catalina island, CA.

When reeling a very first one, I thought I have monster of 50 lb on the end of the line.

It was a small bonito, maybe 3 lb at best.

Nice! I heard they’re really fun to catch.  Never caught one so looking forward to it. What lures we’re you guys using? Got a couple of deadly dick and epoxy jigs. But curious what others use.

They are fun and great fish to catch.

I was using water filled floater and  bonito feather.about 3 feet behind, very similar to snapper popper

Could be five minutes from where I am or an hour to two hours east or west of here. Would be interesting to have an idea as I know they’re in well off the Islands along with King Mack’s. They usually see them about two weeks before LI so my shmunny is on East End but I’ve been known to be wrong.
