OnTheFish
I was wonder what kind of tool some of the old builders used to looks like stake the belly grommets in place. If you look up in ata Pichney plug you can see what I’m talking about. Figured one of you would know how it was done. I would like to find one to purchase if anyone knows where to get one I’m interested. Looking forward to your reply’s Don
Steel Pulse
You can use a prick punch to dimple the sides . If you drill the hole right to size you don’t have to worry about it they stay put once lightly pounded in. what's the secret word for tonight

capesams
Made a pair few years back...not enough pressure to pierce the grommet...ice pick works great..you just need to sharpen a sharp point on it.

Outside snapping pliers work like that. A good strong pair and a little grinding on the inserts should give you a tool that'll do the job. -

Sudsy
Drill the hole the right size and put a tiny drop of 5 minute epoxy under the rim I don't use grommets anymore but when i did I used this to set them I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962
