I have both the 5 tube and 10 tube aquaskinz bags and in my opinion they are the way to go.

They're a good compromise between the low end bags and the expensive (overpriced?) bags on the market.

The 10 tube holds an incredible amount of stuff, you can fit two 9" magic swimmers in one tube. I normally use it for storage or for those mornings when I want everything with me.

The 5 tube is a more versatile bag which I most often carry. It still has a ton of room and can carry more than enough plugs. It also has a separate bucktail pouch, making it my go to20180807_113415.jpg.a7346acbdcf91475757c880c1349f909.jpg20180807_113434.jpg.d8c3692c320d797df262e34421c10c16.jpg jigging bag.

Looking for recommendations for plugs for the canal and nearby beaches.  Have a few 7" Magic Swimmers and Stick Shads and picked up a few pencil poppers (1 Gibbs,1 Wally, both in white), and a few Savages.  Ended up buying all the Magic Swimmers, Stick Shads, and Savages in mackerel patterns per a friend's recommendation.

What other plugs do you all recommend and which colors work best?  One guy who seemed to know his stuff that I chatted with at the canal recommended Cotton Cordell Redfin in white and a Guppy Jobo in white, not sure if he was blowing smoke.  Also heard Left Hook Pigrims are good.

Trying to fill my tackle box up with the necessities, any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

On that note, I'm looking for a new tackle bag since my old box is falling apart, love those ideas you guys posted above.  Appreciate the insight!

Probably no such thing as perfect, but I'm closing in on it as well.

Big plugs go in the Gear Up three-tube bag.

Plastic swimmers and skinny needles go in the two-tube (actually, they are all but square in cross section) MAK Anglers, on my belt.

I'm finally getting around to working on some of my cheap AS bags, applying Flex tape to stiffen them up a bit, and some flex seal to fix some worn outside pieces.  Then I'll use rivets or grommets to lock down the velcro belt loop straps.   One will become a utility bag, primarily for either eels (rigged or live) and rubber jigs, and the other will become a bag for when I need lots of tins and BTs.

I bought the "Canal Buster" plug bag from ****** to be a dedicated Canal bag.  I keep all my Canal specific gear in it ready for a last minute trip to the ditch.  It has extra deep holders so the large size magic swimmers and 9 inch spooks/pencils fit easily in the bag.  It also has a nice divider system for storing bags of replacement plastic tail when jigs are getting beat up or you run into bluefish.  I use it and my surf belt very happy with the combo.

I’ve been using the Aquaskinz small/tall bag. Large enough for a few big plugs, and I fill the front and side pockets with fluorescent light tubes for storing all my jigs. It is falling apart though.

On the September trip I just returned from I used an ODM 3.5 which is built far better than the the aquaskins but I missed having the front pocket for jig storage so it will be my designated beach bag. I’ll sew the aquaskins back together one more time and see how much longer it will last.
