Canal Plug Bag Recomendations

I've come to the realization that I'm not getting my plug bag back so now I need a new one. The one I had was homemade from a bag I got at work and some pieces of pvc downspout, now I'd like to buy a better one mainly for Canal fishing. Can someone recommend a decent bag that would hold maybe 10-12 8inch plugs in the $50-$100 range I would appreciate it. I see a bunch but the prices are all over the place.

Thanks,

Chris

last bag i bought was a large aquaskin bag but thats over 100 bucks but i hate to say this .....its worth it....the canal we use big shads, pencil poppers, large poppers, magic swimmers most bags don't hold 8 inch plugs well. the aquaskin bag is still good after 2 years maybe 3 i don't remember...there was a  bag BW that was cheap worked good but the tubes don't last. hate to think the cheap bags are 50 bucks....i too cheap to get a custom bag.....but after seeing the surfcasting world paying 300 plus on lure bags you know the prices are going up...i've seen used bags going 300....ed

Yikes! I just looked them up, well over $200 for the size bag I would want, they look nice though. The problem is I'm starting all over. I lost a bunch of my top producing plugs/lures so I have to buy those too so I can still fish. I also notice they hold their value, cant find a used cheap either.

thanks Chris

Perhaps just make yourself another and save the money for new plugs..?

As you're obviously aware, any appropriately sized canvas or leather bag can be repurposed to do the job.

In fact, I found a leather bag (ok, a purse) on a dive a few years back and I've been using it as a plug bag ever since, ha ha. It works great..!

That's extremely kind of you and I appreciate it very much however because I'm new here (post count wise) I don't think I can send pm's yet. I did however go back and look at Aquaskins web site. I see a really nice large bag for $144 that would definitely be the right one. I think I'll take nordic333's advice and make something up and focus now on building up my plugs/lure collection and save up for that bag.

Thanks again for your offer, that was very generous.

Chris

I've never seen an easier or cheaper DIY than this one:
