Stan started carving fish in 92. His first was the striped bass. He made two different versions one without scales in 92 which was his first and ones with scales in 93. So you will have a number 2 without and a number 2 with. He did this with each species he carved

cool, good to know.    Gary at CC Charlies had  a few I used to admire when I visited his shop.     Very nice pieces.

Here are the ones I still have. At one time I owned 18 carvings scales and non scaled. 

 

I actually owned Bobs carving once.

I remember a show in hyannis...stan  had a table full of them..40-45 dollars each and I walked right by ..it still haunts me to this day I didn't buy one of each...who was to know.
