jjdbike
Hi folks I’m starting to pack my gear for a Nantucket fluke trip next week. Along w/ meat & popcorn rigs, I’m taking some jig & teaser rigs. I have spro style bucktails from 3 - 7oz. Most custom w/ smaller & or swing hooks. I also have Lucanus style (both Shimano & a couple different knock offs) from 3 - 8 oz. Both styles ins various color combos. For teasers I have Jigging World Fluke Candy in glow & nucular chicken. I also have pink & glow Tusnami Glass Minnows. These will also be baited. My question is, would spro style bucktails & Lucanus style jigs both work for those fluke? Both would be baited w/ some combo of Gulp, squid, spearing or fluke strip. Any other input, advise or suggestions? Thanks in advance! JD
blacklabnh
yes spro style work. A friend of mine gave me a 4oz magic tail bucktail last trip I was on and I got two 8lbers in 2 casts. I didnt even bother with a teaser it was the very end of the trip and I had done well on bait but next time I will have the lighter bucktails with me.
