Thanx to Cman

I followed the man's advice and my stripping basket now has custom red backlighting.

I just love it. Helps me a lot with line management in the dark.

Cheers

First I hope people don't think you are a person of ill repute working the waterfront and second how do you power those suckers up?

A green one on the starboard side and you’re all set. :wee:  Joking aside it’s an interesting idea.  Thanks for sharing. Curious to hear how the lights hold up in the salt.

Perhaps a way to attach a red glow/light stick would be better?  No batteries and you’re all set to hit a rave if there’s no fish.

Your intention would be to leave them on all the time or just to use as a work light to change flies or whatever?

Naaah....I'm not that type...:rav:

These little submersible lights have two small batteries inside of them. They are submersible...They are used ti light up aquariums and stuff...You just turn them on or off as you wish by rotating the cap...

Have you tried charging up flies that have glow in the dark material in them with your lights?

SF

I did not but I will. I wonder if it works with red light though...

Since the lighting is inside the basket, I do not see any problems leaving it opened...I'll put it to serious test next week...
