I think the wall is stupid, except in certain high traffic areas, but if Mexico is going to pay for it what do I care. If on the other hand I have to pay for it, that’s a different story.

Most of the illegals in my area are here on overstayed visas, but I don’t hear a peep about resolving that issue. I guess it doesn’t play as well at rallies; “Fix that visa overstay problem! And Brazil, Ireland, Guatemala, Poland, Romania and Russia are going to pay for it!”

A visa overstay and swimming the Rio Grande are two very different scenarios.

With a visa we have background info on you, your photo is in the system and if we want to find you we will find you.  Swim the Rio Grande and we have got nothing.

So then why don't we find them put them in detention separate the kids and send them back?

Promises made, promises kept; I know it's weird that a POTUS is actually following through.

What about his promise to ‘absolutely’ have Mexico pay for it?

Not sure why people don't feel a wall helps.  Don't lock your doors at night, and see who comes in.

It's a $25BB INFRASTRUCTURE project that pays for itself.  Good, high paying union jobs for years to come.

No they will go with anything Trump says except if he talks about gun control

We finally agree on something. That is the only thing that would change my vote.

On a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being the best, an actual wall is a 1 to me.

- 10 - No nuclear war over NK or Iran

- 9 - No ground war, anywhere, that gets thousands of our people killed

- 8 - Get the economy rolling, reduce unemployment, reduce the debt

- 7 - Fix the VA, secure the border (irrelevant to me whether or not it requires a wall)

- 6 - Begin mass deportations of illegals already here

The rest is all icing.  As long as Trump accomplishes 8, 9 and 10, and legitimately tries 7, he has my full support.

Remind us again how the Democrats help increase the working man's wages?  You know, bringing in all that cheap, illegal labor really helps drive up wages for the middle class doesn't it?

Perhaps not, but that check from Mexico is exactly what candidate and then President Trump promised.

Give it time ... that is move number 1842 in this 3D chess game ;)
