WE have the same problem on our Delaware beaches. Half the people are not fishing, Family camping. WE fisherman lose space because of them. DE beaches are not enforced at all . I'm out there a lot, never see a park ranger. The A#^ls we have don't even put a rod in the water to show there fishing. It's getting pretty bad with these jerks , who want the beach for swimming and camping, but want to drive on to get away from the crowded walk on beaches. Wish the law would do it's job .

this is north brigantine wildlife area(i.e. north end)

permit is for fishing only......yet 1/2 the vehicles had no fishing gear

if not stopped it will turn into another "cove"

ranger said he warned them and took their tag numbers.....not good enough....they should not be allowed to pass him

I don't understand what is so hard here.  That area, as you mentioned, is strictly for fishing by permit only.  If one doesn't possess these credentials, you get ticketed with a summons.

WHY are these things so hard to do..............

Sounds like your Jersey beaches are already doomed. Nobody in both states gets ticketed for camping. I was in a tournament a few weeks ago at the DSSP. Clown pulls up in a big suv ,Took him a half hour to set up his tent, BBQ, . 1 hour later ,rods still laying on the sand. Kid's running all over the beach were your fishing. Real sad. I have the DNR phone # for next time, if they respond. Our tag in DE is for fishing only, not camping. Now the creeps are starting to do it at A.I. Md and VA. Md allows 145 surf rigs, VA allows 45. So if the creeps get there before you , you have to wait till there done camping. Why can't they enforce the law's.

Is this the area that requires that ( new) Federal Permit?
