Were you anchored up yesterday near the casino in small gray boat?

No, I’m a shore guy who uses other peoples boats lol. Lucky to know a few family/ friends who need an experienced hand sometimes. Think there’s a new harbor walk in my hidden shore spot unfortunately so everyone can get there easily now- at least there’s no more hiking through trash  to get there I guess. Surprised people already fishing over there. Maybe my instincts are right on this holdover spot.

I have also also been looking for the herring. I expect them any day. Think I’m gonna head over to mystic lakes and see if I can pull some prespawn large mouths out before the schoolies arrive.

I've been meaning to go over to Castle Island for the longest time but the traffic and parking are always such a nightmare.  Maybe next week I'll head out early and try to get a spot.

I went there last weekend, parking was a mess. Tossed a variety of lures w/ no luck, saw a seal and some cormorants that were diving for something - didn't see them get anything. Signs of life are encouraging I guess, water is still in the low 40s though

Birds were working, they made a lot of dives and peeled off mostly but enough that I knew there was something there they liked but couldn’t commit to. Other then that nothing for standing in the cold. I’ll try again when it’s not cold, raining and miserable out lol

Water felt pretty warm this morning in one of the urban rivers, but caught no fish. Can't be much longer until someone starts catching around here

You may want to try near the Sugar Bowl for some early fish or fish for flounder inside the enclosed bay for some action.

Fresh Micros with sea lice are around the rivers and mouths in Metro Boston.

Maybe I’m too deep in the backwaters

It will be interesting to hear how all that recently erected construction equipment and associated bridge demolition and reconstruction noise may affect the fish under the North Washington Street bridge that spans the Charles from the North End to Charlestown.

I walked over the locks to Constitution Marina at low water yesterday.  Two huge barges, cranes and demo equipment are set up on the inside (river side) of the bridge...….next to the pier.  :dismay:
