5/17 outing

1 post in this topic

Started my ride down the cape and arrived around 8am at Falmouth B+T to get some worms and green crabs. To my surprise they were out of both! Looking like a deer staring at headlights, the guy told me I can try Eastman's which is down the road. Fortunately they have both and the gentleman was pleasant to deal with too.

So to today's report. It rain all morning until around 2pm before I can see clearing. Lots and lots of micro and schoolies rolling around the water. They weren't picky on food either since I caught one on green crab. I got another hit right at the edge of the water but it let go. No shortage of scups as they were scattered throughout the bay and plentiful. Lots of tog bites still but you have to weed through a lot of smaller ones to find the big ones.

Many came out today to fish despite the rain. Lots of boats also.

Hopefully the biggers ones will arrive soon with the blues, then it will be fun.
