Hobie bow Mount trolling motor

Was looking at the hobie pro angler bow Mount for a trolling motor model is made for a hobie 17 does anyone know if it can be fitted to a 2018 pa 14

It's not designed to work on a 14. That being said, you could do it but it will void the warranty on both the plate(you'd have to bend it a bit) and the hull(there's no inserts for the rear screw mount, you'd definitely want to build a good backing plate). You would also probably end up plowing the bow more down in the water than you'd like even if you put the battery all the way at the opposite back corner of the tankwell. The 17 also has a few hundred more pounds capacity and 4 inches of extra beam for when you thrust at 90 degrees. If you do go ahead and try this, definitely get one of the wireless motors with the hand control, they are awesome to use, especially the anchor and vector features. Also standing on a moving pedal in a small boat in any kind of chop is very sketchy.
