What Gear for Beach Driving ?

Also, I suspect that transmission temperatures are lower when driving in 4-lo, due to less slip in the torque converter.  But without an ODBII reader, I don't know for sure.

1911, That's what exactly  it helps. Keeps the trans temp down. I was told this a few years back by a lot of mechanics . I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty, The trany mechanic were I take it for service said it was a good ting to run in 4 low if the sand is soft. He's into surf fishing to. Normal off road or driving on harder beach sand I some times use 4 H.
