Dry Aging Steaks at Home

Is it worth doing for one day? Bought a couple of beautiful 1.5 inch thick steaks a little over 1.5 pounds each to fix for mother's day. Is it worth sticking them unwrapped in the fridge for a day to dry age? Won't hurt anything I'm thinking.

Sticking a cut steak in the fridge for one day won't do anything to age it. I've dry aged steak a few times, and I'm gonna go it again in a few weeks, and you need to use a big piece of prime rib, minimum of 10 lbs is best. There's a great write up by kenji lopez on serious eats. Just Google search dry aged prime rib and it should come up. I follow his method with great results.
