Winch, John and I walked into a seafood restaurant on the Cape one day after fishing. John fancied himself as a Lobster Roll connoisseur. After we were seated the waitress came over to take our orders. John says "Are your Lobster Rolls any good I've had some pretty ****** ones". The waitress was taken aback but assured him they were very good.
A few minutes later a big dude with a cooks apron arrives at the table with three plates and asks which one of us ordered the ****** Lobster Roll. We both pointed to John.

Rip John and I hope they have the best Lobster rolls you ever had  up there.

Johnny was a great guy. A fishing buddy, and a drinking buddy. Just damn good company. He's missed.

As it happened, I was with Thom Menard in Florida the day John left us. We went down to the boat ramp with some mullet I cast netted, and a large cooler full of beers. We were daydrinking/ fishing. Thom hooked his first ever tarpon, it came outta the water 4/5 times before breaking us off. Thom credited Johnny with putting that fish on the hook for him.:)

Even though, I cast netted the bait.

:shaky:

Miss you Johnny!
