Thumb bar sticking and small quack ?

I have a fairly new baitcaster that hasn't been fished that hard and have taken care of it. ( rinsing, drying, etc.) I go to put some new line on it today amd noticed that when reeling it makes a slight quack sound like a duck. The thumbar is also getting stuck dowm when on low drag. This is a tranx. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

the quack sounds like it could be a dry bearing or maybe the IAR is dry.

the thumbar thing could be something else being dry also?

I would give a drop of 3-in-1 a try before anything.

YW M8 and yes sir.

I use it in all my winches and it's great.

keeps it all smooth and free.

just one fine drop does wonders.
