I was given this shakespeare reel that needs a little tlc. Does anyone know where I can get parts for this? It needs the handle and a couple screws. What I like about this reel is, not only is it a vintage reel but the cool clicking sound is "vintage" also.  It seems to be very well made and will last a long time. It would match well with a fiberglass rod... Oh god, not another rod?

I have one of those.  So far every time I need a part the Pflueger parts have fitted, sometimes with a little tinkering. The reel is a copy of the Pflueger Medallist made by Shakespeare when they owned Pflueger, so it is a very close copy..

OnePfoot parts has a handle - website not online now but IIRC about $20 for the handle.. this site is for Pflueger enthusiasts.

Look for an old Medallist spool on the auction site, 1495 I think will be a match for this spool. Or, fabricate your own handle.

The little screws are standard machine screws so could find those at any decent hardware store.
