Temps don't effect rods in fiberglass or graphite, at least nothing we can survive in. The first fiberglass rods were antenna sheaths of tanks I've been told more than once. The graphites we use started their design lives in the aviation industry, can you think of something we'll subject them to they weren't already designed for?
