Every waders nightmare apparently happened yesterday and I did not hear a word about it on the news.... usually hear of tragedies like this off the rocks in RI or someplace more perilous, but it is a harsh reminder that we all are still dealing with the ocean and it is always dangerous territory.

Rest in Peace a brother angler's soul..... very sad.

You're not safe from hypothermia just because you're taken out of the water, nor from unsustainable lung injuries just because they pumped some water out of the lungs.

I doubt he was wearing a PFD.

If so, that's PFD.

But how many times have all of us been on the rocks, the beaches, the jetties w/o a PFD?

Sadly, Joseph, I think that many of us are in the same boat.
