Just a reminder, Thursday, December 7, 2017 will mark 76 years.

We arrived in Nuremberg today, where the denoument of what started on that day in 1941 played out. Seems oddly fitting I guess, though we are here for the Christmas market, not to visit the sites of the trials or executions.

My step grandfather was at Pearl and told me stories of that tragic day.  I remember him as a child telling me how his buddies died there and he would tear up over it.   He's buried en route to the Cape for me and I always pay homage to him on my fishing excursions.   RIP Charlie Holmes!
