It looks like nationwide CCW is going to pass.  (knock on wood).

Shortly, I hope.

Since NJ and parts of NY make it impossible to get a resident permit, consider getting a non-resident permit from another state.

Utah comes to mind.

Just an FYI.

I have a Florida permit. Will this allow me to carry in NJ? Somehow I think no.

Currently NJ does not recognize any out of state CCW permit

My guess is that if the feds pass the law that NJ must recognize out of state CCW, they will only recognize a permit from the state you live in. Since NJ does not issue CCW, once again we be screwed. I hope I'm wrong!!!!

I have Utah, Florida and New Hampshire. Does me no good in NJ.

We'll have to wait for the final language, but the answer seems to be YES.

The idea is to force all states to issue without requiring good cause.

You'll be interested to hear that D.C. just gave up that fight and is issuing permits.

And the best part -

"...any magazine."

Totally flips the bird at state mag bans.

Outstanding. NJ will be an 8 round mag limit in no time with this new ass

hat Gov.

Fed laws trump those of states, so it depends on the wording, but my understanding the whole exercise here is to force them to recognize the out of state permits...period

Hornady Critical Defense solves that issue.

NJ CCW issuance is a farce.  Joined NYPD more than 50 years ago.  Retired and had concealed carry for many years in NY.  Moved to NJ and was refused a concealed permit.  I'd love to see this law pass.

So you were on the NYPD for 50 years and they still wouldn't issue you a  permit? Wild

How is that Spigs?  Because of the plastic in the tip?

Yup.  Technically not a hollow point.

Actually retired from NYPD, went to US Customs.  Retired again and had NY carry.  Moved here and tried twice.  went to Judge in Burlington County and was told "You have no necessity to carry a handgun".  Have FL and qualify on FLEOSA statute.
