Cape May Raptor Banding Project

I've been visiting the Cape May Point birding platform for the last few days for first time. Pretty cool with the naturalist there to identify the birds flying over, very dedicated and nice people. So far seeing numerous Peregrines, Merlins, Kestrels, Redtails and Eagles as well as water birds and finches and so on. Today they had a banding seminar this morning, all the banders are volunteers except one who receives a minimal  salary. The two raptors, a Cooper and a Sharp Shinned where previously banded and released during the seminar.
