Portsmouth Boat Ramp/Jeffrey's Ledge

Pierce Island in Portsmouth can handle it.  One tip - at low water the launching/pulling is better to the left of the ramp in the solid gravel.  There's a real drop off at the end of the cement ramp and with a big boat it can be a bear to pull out over it.  The gravel is nice and smooth and goes way into water.  We hardly ever use the ramp and stick with the gravel instead.

Great Bay Marina is the best for it. You won't feel the current like Pierce Island nor steep HILL like Rye Harbor. It's a little further in the river but worth it. you can take your time since there isn't many launch in there... Good luck... I recently bought myself a 19'6 ft boat. I cannot wait till next season!!
