Full moon Phil

With the mandatory tip of the cap to the late Mr. Zevon, I've been skunked on EVERY full moon night this season, going back to at least June, if not May.

I'd posted something a while back along the lines of "Please kick me if I say that I'm going to fish the full moon"

Managed to avoid the uncontrollable werewolf tonight.  (heck, I'm as shocked as anybody!) Drove Route 3 S from Boston, all the way to the Sag bridge and I didn't even stop, despite the clouds, and with a car full of gear.

Southcoastphil- it’s a full moon which means no fishing for you!

Jim,

The only way Phil will learn is tough love.

That means we show up and take all his plugs! That will show him:poopfan:

No love on the Full Moon?

I’ve done quite well at some spots but with no consistency.

Phil has plugs? Hmmmmm...

He will only lend them during the full moon.:witty:

Ill have to admit that when its a full moon i usually look for an overcast nite. Never had consistent success in bright moon conditions.

Any updates on your bites during this very full moon cycle?

After the joking here i have to say i agree with Phil. ( dont tell him).

If i look back at my records  or notes of the past i have done very poorly during full moons. Not this particular moon tho.

So you guys hittin them?

~13 years ago, my wife and I were throwing mackerel chunks and clams on a Ogunquit Beach in Maine.  Clear skies, full August  moon overhead at about 11pm. Low tide 9pm.  From Sunset till we tired @midnight, we caught 18 - 24"  nearly every cast.
