I have 30lb braid/Penn Conflict 4000 on a  6'6" Shimano Trevala 50-100.

Is this ok? What problems could i run into ?

None.  You will be fine.

I have the 80-200 rated conventional version and use it with a saltist for just about everything from jigging/chunking tuna, trolling mojos for bass, I even fluked with it a couple weeks ago on the way in from a tuna trip.  I set the drag at 8-10lbs for 30lb leader chunking tuna and the rod loads up well with that setting, I don't see any difference between that and you using 30lb braid.  You'll be good to go!!

The line rating is more of a rating of the rods power capability and not really about what line you should use. Like jerseybro said, you'll have zero issues, especially using lighter line. You can run any line you want as long as you keep the drag setting within the limits of the rod.
