Heading there with the ol' lady for the weekend. Won't get to fish much, but I was hoping to get her onto some Albies. I've caught them before but on Nantucket. Are they as plentiful in Gloucester around that time as they are on Nantucket and the Vineyard?

Never seen or heard of one but we will occasionally encounter small bonito. Bring the surf rod as the bass fishing should be getting good by that time.

It's all rock and ledge up there on Cape Ann.

Had a ton of schoolie action at the breakwater a few weeks ago.

Snapping a floater SP in tight to the riprap.

Just like anywhere...places to park are hard to come by.

A few years ago there was a guy that was slinging metals and caught a stray albie on the beach at Plum Island. I wouldn't keep my hopes up but anything can happen. You will find parking more lenient after this weekend holiday around Cape Ann.
