6'9" Black Hole Challenger Bank 691UL rod action for mini doormat

Park fighting mini doormat using 6'9" Black Hole Challeger Bank 691UL (ultra light) rod on the Montauk Star out of Montauk, NY today.

He used hi-lo rig with 6 oz sinker.

The light rod is designed for fluke bucktailing in shallow water. But it seems the light rod has enough backbone to fish in deep water.

The blank weighs only 1.8 oz.

He was hot today by landing 4 fluke in 6 - 9 lb using the same setup.

It's insane how light this rod is. If I wouldn't see it in the video I would say it's a gimmick. I would like one of these and a challenger mh one of these days.

Seeing is believing.   I became a believer of Black Hole rods and my mission is to let others believe Black Hole rods as I've never seen those light and strong rods before.

fighting a nice cusk using 6'9" Black Hole Challenger Bank 691UL/IRT 300 combo to fish deep ( 250' - 300') with 10 oz jig.

The IRT 300 has been tested heavily.  The more I use, the more I like the reel.

Great videos! May I ask , what kind of rig you are using?
