Stripping Etex?

Rate this topic

Anyone know if there's a quick way to strip a plug covered in Etex? Have some old stuff I would like to repaint. Sanding it off seems like a horrible chore. Not sure what would become of the eyes either.

Just make new plugs?

Fire, screw the eyes you can put new ones in, fire up the torch and wave it over the plug to soften the epoxy, then wire brush it off, trying not to overdo the fire and burn the plug, There's a pretty famous picture somewhere of Winch doing this to a Gary2 Tiger swimmer, if I find it I'll post it.
