Have you jumped ship from your Party?

I'm trying to stay strong as a supportive conservative democrat but there's nobody stepping up to the plate. Seth Moulton showed some balls and was vocal about change in the party but that has now fizzled out. Seriously considering to become an independent.

Where are you at?

Went online to switch to Independent last week, got company, didn't get finished.  Will do it next week, just to show disapproval of what is going on in DC.  In my life I've been D, L , and R , now I'll try  I.  Time to try a vowel.

I'm moving back to Florida before the end of the year and will likely register (I). I've been done with the Dems since about 2010 and have even less interest in the Republicans. My only pause is that doing so excludes me from the primary process.

Yes.  My predicament.  Closed prinaries are why we are where we are.

I was an Independent for years until I switched to Republican to vote for Trump in the Primary.

I will stay in the Party through 2020 to do so again.

After that, it is open to question.

Fortunately it is not difficult to change affiliation with a visit to the website and the US mail.

In the Terri Schiavo case the congressional Republicans' perfidious repudiation of federalism so disgusted me that I left the Republican Party never to return.

Since then I have been registered as a  DTS voter.

"Decline to State (DTS) is an affiliation designation on the California voter registration form that allows voters to register to vote without choosing a party affiliation. It is similar to what in other states would be called declaring oneself as an independent."

I'm switching back to Independent. I hate Seth Moulton. He's an anti-gun vet. He's insane.

The Repubs have lost me as a supporter personally. That said, unless some super conservative Blue appears, I can't see ever voting for a Dem. They pander to the welfare and Socialist crowd. It's no good.

Here in RI they consider Independent a party. I've been "unaffiliated" since the age of 18. I follow my gut and heart...

Just moved from R to I.  As I've said, I began life as a JFK Democrat and eventually moved to Reagan Rep.  But the Rep. action on Obamacare tells me the swamp is real and I am disgusted with them all (I have been for a long time but that pushed me over the edge)

Switched from R to I a couple of years ago. No issue on the primaries in MA.

Never voted for a D but I will for whomever runs against Charlie Baker next time.

Ran from the re-ubs years ago.  Too liberal for me; and, as Lichum stated, they wouldn't know Federalism if it bit them in the ass.

I applaud your growth.  Really.
