McConnell says tax reform is not going to be bipartisan.

Interesting.  Today's WSJ.

"Next on the Senate Republicans’ agenda is a tax overhaul. “We began to discuss today at lunch tax reform,” Sen. Bob Corker (R., Tenn.) said Tuesday. “That’s our next agenda item, and it’s something that regardless of who’s president we would want to be pursuing at this time.”

Senate and House Republicans plan to advance the issue in September after their recess and have been working with administration officials on a coordinated plan. But Senate Republicans also dismissed White House suggestions they take input from Democrats.

“I don’t think this is going to be 1986, when you had a bipartisan effort to scrub the code,” Mr. McConnell said."

If it's not bipartisan, it can't be called real tax reform, it'll be something else.

So, Obamacare is not real healthcare reform ?

The difference to me is that it took a year to come up with a final bill, and there were hearings and opportunity for public comment. Reps chose to oppose rather than get involved. Look what Reps just did with Trumpcare. It's only after failing (amongst themselves) to pass anything that they want Dem help and participation. I'd hope you can see that.

It was their only option.

Unless of course you consider the Democrats agree with us or get out offer as an option.

There is no Trumpcare, only Obamacare.  And the filthy progs that are in the R party gave it right back to you.  You were regifted the ****ing fruitcake again.

There is no reason for any partisan lefty to gripe about any medical anything.  You still, after all these years own it.

Wait for next year when the crap really hits the fan for ObamaCare, Dems will run for the hills when asked why it failed, it will really bite them in the ballot box.

They will do then as they are doing now..................blame the Republicans.

And the ignorant masses will believe it.

There is no reason for McConnell to look, at the beginning, for bipartisanship on anything.  He has the numbers to do what he wants   .....   bar major disagreements within the Party.  That's the rub.

Since there have been major disagreements already, there may well be, ultimately, a bill that draws bipartisan support.  That doesn't mean it will be more genuinely in the public interest.  There is increasing strain within the GOP between the social conservatives who dominate the Trump base and the primaries, and the business wing of the party.  How that shakes out, God only knows.

Obamacare has bipartisan (really, totally partisan) support.  The Progressives kept it.

Nope.  Those that supported the Dem party (re Donna Brazille, Debbie 2 name, and Hillary), those that cast a vote to elect her as president, deserve-so deeply-what they are getting now.  All the angst, all the crying, the mass murder attempts, the riots, the flamed cars, the Ashley Judds!  ALLLL lead back to the fact that there are no men left in the Democrat Party apparatus with enough personal dignity to stand up to Hillary Clinton.
