Sent 755 US diplomats home.  Seized two US properties.  455 US diplomats allowed to stay... exactly the same as the number of known Russian personnel in the US.  Per The Hill.

Now, my question is why did we have more than 1,200 government employees in Russia?  That sounds like a huge number.

Espionage, of course. Same reason they are here. It's the worst kept secret.

But wait, I thought Putin and Trump were ass-wiping buddies. This embarrassment does not seem like the type of thing ass-wiping buddies do to one another. This does not sound like the thing one does if they expect their ass-wiping buddy to drop sanctions for them.

I know, the usual cast of characters will show up to say that the new US sanctions passed against Trump resistance and that Putin is showing his dog what happens when he disobeys.

This has been a really bad week for Trump-Russia collusion memes.

Understood, but 1,200?  What kind of lame cover story can you create to justify 1,200 CIA types running around Moscow?

Clearly they are there to interfere in the next Russian election so it favors Putins opponent
