Dems new slogan:  “A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages."

Papa John's slogan: "Better ingredients. Better pizza. Papa Johns."

Not sure the new Dem slogan is more better than the current one: "Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia"

The responses from other Democrats who know something about messaging, was not high praise:

“If your slogan uses a colon or a comma, back to the drawing board,” tweeted Jon Favreau, former speechwriter for then-President Barack Obama

“Fire every consultant involved,” added Jon Lovett, a former speechwriter for Obama and Hillary Clinton, who continued: “ALLOW ME TO SECOND ANYONE WITH A F---ING BRAIN: THIS SLOGAN IS GARBAGE. Hoping it's not real.”

It is now being reported that the actual slogan released might change slightly: “A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future” - is that really better?

Cheer up.  As the tweets continue, our slogans will improve. They're a lifeline of vindication for a Democratic Party that would be far poorer shape without them. :)

Fewer seats than any time since the depression.

NO representation south of the Mason Dixon Line.

Only hope is a septuagenarian communist whose wife is currently in a photo finish with a grand jury.

House leader really does believe George Bush is the President.

BUT HEY!  We have a new slogan!

The "Better Deal"

More government, less freedom.  Dont worry, we'll get you some pills a little cheaper.

Dolts.  How embarrassing.

The only way you use "Deal" in this context is if you are trying to tie your new slogan back to the big bang of progressivism in America, The New Deal. This is messaging at a subliminal level. The repeated use of "Better" is an offer of hope to those who think things suck. But you are correct, it is about sending a new message of "Whatdoyaneed?".

I heard discussion of the Democratic Party's  new slogan yesterday.

Hearing  "Better Deal"  evoked FDR's New Deal that  hatched the unelected, unaccountable, suffocating, fourth-branch Hydra.

A better deal than what?

The implication here is that the previous deal, Obama's was not the best.

It wasn't, was it?

Now we have the DNC actually admitting that it wasn't.

Such times we live in.

Maybe they are starting to come around.
